Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms
Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are an extension of the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland. A bit of home within the walls of a hospital, the Family Room is a respite where families and friends can spend quiet time together, engage in conversations or reflection, or enjoy coffee and a snack while still being close to the child's room.
Upon entering one of our Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, families are greeted by Family Room Volunteers who act as host or hostess of the room. Volunteers register visitors, explain what services are available, and help families to feel at home.
MetroHealth Family Room is located on the Towers 4th Floor near the Department of Pediatrics. Volunteers are scheduled for one four hour shift per week, or every other week. Volunteer parking is free. Hospital-paid TB test, criminal background check, and on-site training are required.
