    RI STEAM Month Volunteers

    RI STEAM Month Volunteer Opportunity

    Hosted by Winners’ Circle XR Academy, Inc.

    In partnership with the Rhode Island Department of Education

    Description:

    Be part of Rhode Island’s statewide celebration of creativity and innovation this November! Winners’ Circle XR Academy, in partnership with RIDE, is hosting a series of RI STEAM Month Pop-Up Events that bring hands-on learning to communities across the state. Each pop-up will feature exciting activities in robotics, esports, drone aviation, coding, virtual reality, and more — designed to engage students and families in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.

    We’re looking for 12–15 volunteers per event to help make these experiences fun, safe, and inspiring for everyone involved!

    Volunteer Responsibilities:

    • Greet families and assist with check-in and registration.
    • Support activity stations (LEGO Robotics, Coding, VR, Drone Aviation, etc.).
    • Help with event setup and breakdown.
    • Guide students through interactive learning experiences.
    • Distribute materials and assist with crowd flow.
    • (Optional) Capture moments for social media or outreach.

    Qualifications:

    • Enthusiastic about STEAM education and youth engagement.
    • Friendly, dependable, and a team player.
    • No STEAM experience required — training provided!
    • Must be at least 16 years old (younger volunteers may participate with a guardian).
    • Background checks may be required for volunteers directly assisting children.

    📅 Saturday, November 8Providence (Gateway Center at Roger Williams Park, 10 AM–1 PM)

    📅 Wednesday, November 12Providence (The Black Box at The Met High School, 3–7 PM)

    📅 Friday, November 14 Warwick (Boys & Girls Club of Warwick, 2 PM–6 PM)

    📅 Thursday, November 20Providence (WaterFire Arts Center, 2–6 PM)

    📅 Saturday, November 22Pawtucket (Centerville Bank Stadium, 9 AM–1 PM)

    Time Commitment: 3–4 hours per event (volunteers can choose specific dates)
