    Description

    Registration Table Volunteers

    Responsibilities:

      • Greet attendees as they arrive
      • Check in guests using a registration list or electronic check-in system
      • Distribute name wrist bands
      • Answer basic event questions
      • Direct attendees to the next step (navigators, meeting areas, etc.)

    Ideal For: Friendly, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy interacting with people.

    Operations Support

    Responsibilities:

      • Assist with event setup and breakdown
      • Monitor supply tables, restock materials
      • Help with AV setup, signage placement, and general troubleshooting
      • Serve as a runner for event staff
      • Checking wrist bands and que presenter when 5 mins out

    Ideal For: Dependable individuals who are flexible, hands-on, and good at solving problems on the fly.

    Navigators / Wayfinders

    Responsibilities:

      • Help direct attendees to various locations (registration, breakout rooms, restrooms, lunch area, etc.)
      • Answer general questions about the event schedule and venue layout
      • Provide support to attendees who may need mobility assistance

    Ideal For: Volunteers who are outgoing, know the venue well (or are quick learners), and comfortable standing or walking for extended periods.

    Meet & Greeters

    Responsibilities:

      • Provide a warm welcome to attendees
      • Assist with traffic flow at entry points
      • Engage guests in conversation while they wait in line or transition between sessions
      • Serve as the “face of the event,” setting a friendly, upbeat tone

    Ideal For: Enthusiastic, personable volunteers who enjoy talking to new people.

    Lunch Handlers

    Responsibilities:

      • Help with organizing and distributing lunch (buffet or boxed)
      • Monitor food stations for restocking needs
      • Direct attendees through the lunch line efficiently
      • Assist with cleanup and disposal of waste after lunch

    Ideal For: Volunteers who are comfortable handling food, organized, and work well in a fast-paced environment.

    Retail Sales

    Responsibilities:

    • Setup, promotion, and sale of merchandise or products during the event.
    • You will provide friendly, knowledgeable service to guests while keeping the retail area clean, organized, and well stocked.

    Ideal For: Volunteers who are comfortable talking to attendees and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

    BGH Live

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with moving bringing people on stage or moving furniture on stage between segments
    • Seating attendees in auditorium
