    Description

    Research & Engineering Associate: Lab
    • This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.
    • Associates must be willing to attend meetings in the EST time zone and be responsive to emails within 36 hours.
    • STW(tm) welcomes volunteers who are seeking skill-based volunteering opportunities. STW(tm) shall provide "letter of recommendation" professionals who demonstrate outstanding contributions for professional references.

    The Role:

    This role will report to the Project Leader of the Lab. Associates will assist the Project Leader in the operation & maintenance of the STW(tm) Lab Facility.

    What you will be responsible for.....

    • Assume responsibility for the day-to-day operation, function, and maintenance of the Lab Facility.

    • Assist with STW(tm) efforts to develop markets for existing and new products.

    • Perform and assist in laboratory tests and evaluations as required.

    • Assist lab chemists to maintain and follow a Chemical Hygiene Plan for the lab.

    • Maintain safe and efficient warehouse activities, procedures, and work conditions.

    • Work with various regulatory agencies (Broward County Hazardous Material & Storage Tank Licensing, etc.).

    • Perform other responsibilities as required.

    • Excellent written and verbal skills.

    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and ability to multitask.
