Volunteer Opportunity: Be a Friend to a Lovely 90-Year-Old Woman in North Seattle

Commitment:

• Companion Visit: Once a month
• Phone Calls: Three times a month

Are you someone who enjoys meaningful conversations, a good cup of tea, and sharing stories about life’s adventures? We’re looking for a kind-hearted volunteer to connect with a delightful 90-year-old woman who has dementia and is hard of hearing-but still loves to chat and engage with others.

She’s a happy soul with a rich past: originally from England, she loved traveling, gardening, reading the classics, and spending time outdoors. Despite the challenges dementia brings, she remains cheerful and conversational and would thrive with a compassionate companion who speaks clearly and loudly and enjoys reminiscing.

This opportunity begins with regular phone calls and can smoothly transition into monthly in-person visits. You’ll be offering companionship, joy, and a sense of connection to someone who truly values it.
