    Description

    Volunteer Life-systems Assistant

The Amphibian Foundation is seeking a volunteer to work directly with the Facilities Manager at the Amphibian Foundation, and help ensure the proper functioning of life-systems and captive management systems at our facility in Buckhead.

The world-class amphibian and reptile housing facilities are unique, and most operations have been custom-built by the Facilities Manager. With over 700 animals on site, there is a lot of upkeep and this volunteer role would work directly with the Facilities Manager to make sure everything is in perfect working order.

We provide all the training necessary, and our volunteers work with us on the front line of conservation, research, and educational projects caring for exciting, rare, and endangered species.

    Tues mornings from 9:30 - 12 pm.

Must be able to lift 40# on occasion, and navigate stairs. Basic understanding of tools and safety are preferred.

No previous experience is necessary as we fully train all volunteers in husbandry and biosecurity.

Due to COVID-19 guidance and restrictions, we work following all suggested CDC guidance for the health of the staff, volunteers, and animals. You are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Estimated time: 2-3 hours per shift (1-3 shifts per week)

Location: On-site at AF (Atlanta, GA)

    Age: 18+
