    • Review and implement weekly session plans provided by the WELLpower Coordinator
    • Encourage sportsmanship, self-awareness and cooperation in all activities
    • Facilitate light discussions or reflections related to character-building themes (such as effort, motivation or leadership)
    • Monitor and support student safety during physical activities
    • Offer feedback to the team about student engagement or session improvements
    • Be a consistent, positive presence for students and a role model for well-being and leadership

    Qualifications:

    • Interest or experience in youth fitness, physical education, SEL (social-emotional learning) or leadership development
    • Background in education, sports management, public health, youth development or related fields preferred
    • Experience working with children (camp counselor, tutor, coach, mentor or teacher assistant all welcome)
    • Ability to lead light physical activity, movement and wellness-based games
    • Clear, encouraging communication style
    • Must pass a background check (coordinated and paid for by Iron Village Prep)
    • Availability on Mondays and Wednesdays during school hours (specific times determined based on school schedule)

    Time Commitment:

    • 2 sessions/week (35 minutes each) + brief prep and check-in
    • Approx. 2–3 hours/week
    • Commitment from September–December 2025, with option to continue into Spring 2026

    Compensation:

This is a volunteer position. While it is unpaid, volunteers receive:

    • Valuable experience for careers in education, coaching, social work or child development
    • Mentorship and references from Iron Village Prep leadership
