NAAAP New York is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), all-volunteer, Pan-Asian American professional organization that promotes the career advancement and leadership development of Asian American professionals in all fields through professional development, community service, and social events. We are the founding chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP), with a history dating back to 1982.
About the role:
The Vice President of Special Projects is a senior position on the Executive Team. Reporting to the President and Senior Vice President, the Vice President Special Projects is responsible for identifying, formulating, developing, and implementing projects and programs that support the organizational goals of NAAAP New York on a strategic level.In many cases, managing ongoing chapter activities makes it difficult to focus on specific tasks that require a project approach.Some examples include special programs, succession planning, executive mentorship, etc.As such, the VP Special Projects is a multi-faceted role with chapter operations and have broad latitude in determining committee priorities and functions in a consulting capacity.
As Vice President of Special Projects, you will:
·Executes special projects as defined by the Board of Directors, President, and/or EVP
·Monitors Chapter trends and assesses future needs and analysis for sustainable growth
·Selectively collaborates and assists with all Chapter committees
·Selectively collaborates and provides support to Programming, programs and Chapter initiatives
·Provides coordination support to special collaborative initiatives with NAAAP National
·Community and Corporate Partners support
·Report directly to President and EVP
