    Description

    Pet Companions for Hospice Patients

Visits from our four-legged friends bring a smile to everyone's face. They provide reduced anxiety and peace to the patients we serve.

Gateway Hospice has the perfect volunteer opportunity for you and your furry friend. Calling all friendly pet's and their owners! You and your 'best friend' will visit hospice patients where ever they call home -- assisted-living facilities, hospitals, skilled nursing homes, and/or personal homes.

We are looking for volunteers all over the Greater Pittsburgh Region- including Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Washington & Westmoreland counties. Gateway Hospice will work with you and your animal buddy to accommodate your specific volunteer interests.

We provide training, PPE and other safety measures to keep you healthy while visiting hospice patients.

Please contact Suzanne Ferguson, Volunteer Coordinator, to discuss how to join the Gateway Hospice Volunteer Team - 412-536-2020 or sferguson@gatewayhospice.com
