    Description

At Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, we realize that spiritual and emotional support of patients is a vital factor in more positive medical outcomes. The Spiritual Care Department is glad to participate in the healing process of our patients. We have chaplains and trained spiritual care volunteers who promote healing by addressing the spiritual, emotional, and religious needs of our patients.

Without our spiritual care volunteers we could not effectively achieve the mission of the Spiritual Care Department, which makes our services available to the nearly 600 patients we serve on a daily basis.

Good spiritual care volunteers need not be formally trained as pastoral visitors. We will train compassionate candidates who support the caring goals of our Spiritual Care team.

We are looking for volunteers for weekday mornings - times may be flexible to accommodate your schedule.

If you think Spiritual Care Volunteering is for you, call Rabbi Jennifer Geretz at 973-322-5015. This could be the beginning of a wonderful and rewarding volunteering opportunity!
