    Description

    Purpose

Volunteer Ushers provide a welcoming and helpful service to Bloodworks Northwest blood donors. Our Volunteers are an important part of Bloodworks mission, to the public and to our vitality. A Volunteer Usher is the first face that a blood donor encounters at the beginning of their donation experience, and plays a fundamental role before and after blood donations.

    Responsibilities

oWelcoming blood donors to BWNW, and ensuring that all visitors experience a welcoming and inclusive environment

oEnsuring good customer service and engagement by directing our visitors to the appropriate areas

oWait for blood donors who need an escort to our C level so that the security guard there does not have to step away

oDuring slow times, we will have you work on our HLA packet project to help assemble blank kits for sending out to our hospital customers, who then send them to patients.

    Qualifications:
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and in a courteous manner.
    • Dependability critical.
