Companion Volunteer Needed - Share Time & Kindness with a Remarkable Elder

Role Type: Volunteer - Flexible Schedule

A gentle-hearted 90+ year-old woman in Shoreline is seeking a compassionate companion to brighten her days with conversation and presence. She is hard of hearing and has vision challenges, but her spirit is vibrant and her love for company is strong.

We are looking for a patient, kind, and understanding volunteer-ideally someone with a background in nursing or caregiving, such as a retired RN-who can offer companionship and warmth. The participant deeply appreciates thoughtful gestures and has a history of being cared for by nurses, which brings her comfort and joy.

What You’ll Do:

• Visit regularly to sit, chat, and share stories
• Offering a calming and reassuring presence
• Be mindful of hearing and vision limitations
• Bring empathy, patience, and a listening ear

Ideal Volunteer:

• Retired RN or someone with a caring background
• Patient and gentle communicator
• Enjoying meaningful one-on-one interactions
• Lives near or can travel to Shoreline, WA
