Help make a difference in the lives of youth living in foster care.

Are you passionate about art, poetry or any form of creative expression? Do you believe in the power of creativity to heal, inspire, and uplift? If so, we invite you to become a Volunteer at OYHFS.

Our mission is to empower these young hearts through enrichment activities that ignite their imaginations, boost their confidence, and help them discover their unique talents.

As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead Art Workshops: Be creative! Help teach art, sketching, painting techniques to our youth.
• Help empower youth through art: Whether it's painting, dancing, or writing, art provides a creative avenue for youth to navigate their inner lives and build confidence.
• Bring positive energy and patience Volunteering with youth at risk can be deeply rewarding but also emotionally complex. Your calm presence, consistency, and open heart mean more than you might imagine.
• Respect confidentiality-don’t press for personal stories. If a participant shares something concerning, quietly let the supervisor or licensed therapist know.

We require a 12 month commitment
