    About us:

    NAAAP New York is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), all-volunteer, Pan-Asian American professional organization that promotes the career advancement and leadership development of Asian American professionals in all fields through professional development, community service, and social events. We are the founding chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP), with a history dating back to 1982.

    About the role:

    The Vice President of Programming is a senior position on the NAAAP New York Executive Team. The VP of Programming is responsible for oversight and managing the Director of Career & Leadership Development, Director of WIN (Women in NAAAP) and Director of PRIDE. Together, these 3 portfolios represent the professional development programs at NAAAP New York to its members. Various programs will also be organized with community partners and as such, the VP of Programming is responsible for coordinating with applicable partnerships in the corporate and nonprofit sectors.

    As Vice President of Programming, you will:

    ·Provide guidance and oversight to 3 directors

    ·Work with Corporate Relations, Community Partners and other internal and external partners to execute the signature events, such as the Lunar New Year event, May AAPI Heritage Month celebration, and Diwali celebration

    ·Spearhead professional development and leadership programming and initiatives as approved by the board

    ·Work with Directors to develop and execute mentorship, career and leadership goals

    ·Foster outreach and maintain relations with mentors and speakers

    ·Collaborate with corporate and nonprofit sector NAAAP New York Community Partners

    ·Channel and coordinate with other NAAAP Chapters and NAAAP National on professional and leadership development initiatives and programming

    ·Help recruit and staff committees as necessary

    ·Report directly to President and EVP
