    Visits are typically scheduled weekly and you may visit people in their homes or facilities. Length of visits varies, and typically are 1-2 hours, but not to exceed 3-4 hours.

    Pinning Ceremonies are offered to our patients who are veterans. We offer to have a veteran volunteer attend to present a pin, plaque and flag to the veteran. Veteran volunteers can also connect with a veteran for companionship.

    Description

    We participate in We Honor Veterans, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Veteran volunteers play an important role serving our hospice patients who served our country. Given their unique experiences, sacrifices and training, there is a special bond among veterans. They share a common culture and language. Veteran volunteers are a critical part of showing gratitude for our nation’s heroes and bringing closure to them near the end of their lives.

    We have patients all through-out the Twin Cities and you choose which patient to see, depending on location.
