    Description

    Objective:

    Brownpreneurs is seeking a skilled and tech-savvy Tech Volunteer to support our organization’s digital and technical needs. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in IT and digital tools who are passionate about using technology to enhance programs and events. The Tech Volunteer will assist with event technology, website updates, troubleshooting, and other technical tasks to help ensure smooth operations.

    Time Commitment:

    Approximately 5-10 hours per week, with additional hours as needed for events or special projects.

    Compensation:

    Unpaid (Volunteer)

    Location: Remote

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with managing and updating the organization's website and digital platforms.
    • Troubleshoot basic IT issues, including connectivity, software, and hardware problems.
    • Support staff with tech-related tasks such as setting up online registration forms, email automation, and data management.
    • Help optimize digital tools and software used for program delivery.
    • Capture and edit media content for social media, marketing, and event recaps.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Experience with IT support and web management.
    • Familiarity with platforms such as Zoom, Google Workspace, and social media tools.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and handle technical challenges efficiently.
    • Experience with graphic design, video editing, or website management is a plus.
    • Passion for technology, youth development, and entrepreneurship.

    Brownpreneurs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in St. Louis, Missouri. We provide entrepreneurial training for African-American high school and college students in the bi-state area.
