    Bus Driver (Part-time)

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Class A - Bus Driver to join our team. We are hiring a team of drivers who are interested in picking up shifts to take various foster youth and at-risk youth to incredible outdoor activities and opportunities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, including children and seniors, to their designated locations. This role requires strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to providing excellent service to all passengers.

    Responsibilities

    • Safely operate a bus or van, ensuring the safety of all passengers during transit.
    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
    • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior.
    • Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking, particularly those with special needs or mobility challenges.
    • Follow designated routes and schedules while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
    • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding any delays or issues encountered during transit.
    • Provide excellent customer service to all passengers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
    • Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts as required.

    Qualifications

    • Valid commercial driving license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger transport.
    • Mechanical knowledge preferred for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
    • Experience driving vans or buses is highly desirable.
    • Previous experience working with children or in senior care settings is a plus.
    • Bilingual skills are an advantage for effective communication with diverse passenger groups.
    • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations professionally.
    • A commitment to safety and a passion for providing exceptional service to all passengers.
