    Description

    Role Overview:

    We are seeking a passionate and organized Fundraising Coordinator to join our volunteer team. This person will help VHREC secure the resources necessary to support research, educational programs, and conservation initiatives. You’ll work closely with the VHREC team and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of herpetology research and education.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement fundraising strategies, campaigns, and events
    • Research and identify potential donors, grants, and sponsorship opportunities
    • Draft compelling fundraising materials, including emails, proposals, and social media content
    • Track donations, maintain records, and provide regular updates to the team
    • Collaborate with VHREC staff and volunteers to support events and campaigns
    • Recognize and thank donors, helping to cultivate long-term relationships

    Qualifications:

    • Interest in herpetology, conservation, or nonprofit work (not required but a plus)
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks
    • Comfortable with digital tools, social media, and online fundraising platforms
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently
