    Description

    Voice Your Choice Volunteer: Voice Your Choice, a program of Nexus Montgomery, is a community-based program led by the Jewish Social Service Agency ( JSSA) that promotes advance care planning (ACP) through training, education, and public awareness. Due to impact of COVID-19, it becomes even more crucial to have a ACP in place to enable individuals to decide their healthcare options if unable to speak due to a medical crisis. Volunteers are needed to translate documents related to advance care planning in effort to make the signup process accessible to community members who are not able to complete the forms in English. The translation involves one to two pages per document. Perfection not required because the goal is to have an editor and/or second translator to review each document. https://www.voiceyourchoice.org/about.html

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ability to use a computer
    • Write in both English and either Korean, or Vietnamese
    • Translate 6 documents, 1-2 pages each
    • Report hours to Volunteer Coordinator
