    Description

    Direct Care Volunteer

Come and spend time with the foster children who are staying at The Landing!

The Landing is an emergency placement shelter for children first entering foster care. We care for kids age 0-12 in some of their most difficult days, providing them a 'soft place to land' as they begin their foster care journey. Our program is run primarily by community members who volunteer to care for children and spend their time doing crafts at the kitchen table, walks around the neighborhood and plenty of trips to get a donut (or two!)

Volunteers are asked to serve for a minimum of once a month. We are open 24/7 and have staggered shifts to fit availabilities. Washington State does require a few things to complete before volunteering, so inquire about this opportunity and meet with Kayla to talk about how you can get started! (minimum age is 21)
