Description
Everlove Academy is a mission-driven education organization partnering with public schools and communities to expand access to high-quality public speaking, debate, and youth leadership education. We are seeking Public Speaking and Debate Teaching Assistants to support our in-school and after-school programs for elementary and middle school students.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, value clear communication and structure, and want to contribute meaningfully to classroom learning.
Responsibilities
- Support the lead instructor during public speaking and debate classes
- Assist with small-group activities, practice exercises, and student engagement
- Help maintain a positive, focused, and respectful classroom environment
- Observe student progress and provide constructive encouragement
- Support basic classroom logistics (attendance, materials setup, classroom reset)
- Communicate professionally with instructors and site managers as needed
Qualifications
- Interest in education, youth development, communication, or leadership
- Comfortable working with elementary or middle school–aged students
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience with teaching, tutoring, public speaking, debate, or youth programs is a plus (but not required)
- Must be eligible to work in school environments (background check required)
Time Commitment
- Part-time, flexible schedule
- Up to 5 hours per week during the school semester, generally scheduled during the after-school window of 2:30–5:00 PM.
- Consistency throughout the semester is strongly preferred
