    Description

    Sahel Women English Connect (SWEC) is a women-led initiative dedicated to empowering women and youth through access to English education, digital skills, and leadership opportunities. Our goal is to break language barriers and expand educational and economic opportunities for underserved communities.

    Role Summary

    SWEC is seeking a motivated and experienced GoFundMe Campaign person to design, launch, and manage an online fundraising campaign on behalf of the organization. You will play a key role in resource mobilization to support our project of equiping a computer laboratory for our displaced learners.

    Key Responsibilities

    Set up and launch a GoFundMe campaign for SWEC:

    1. Develop compelling fundraising content (storytelling, campaign description, impact goals)

    2. Define realistic fundraising targets and timelines

    3. Advise on campaign strategy, donor engagement, and outreach

    4. Coordinate with the SWEC team to gather visuals, testimonies, and impact data

    5. Monitor campaign performance and provide weekly progress updates

    5. Suggest strategies to increase visibility and donations (sharing plans, networks, influencers)

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    1. Previous experience managing or launching GoFundMe or similar crowdfunding campaigns.

    2. Strong storytelling and persuasive writing skills.

    3. Understanding of online fundraising and donor engagement.

    4. Ability to work independently and remotely.

    5. Passion for women’s education, social impact, or community development.

    6. Reliability and clear communication skills.

    Preferred (but not mandatory)

    - Experience fundraising for NGOs, grassroots initiatives, or education projects

    - Knowledge of social media promotion for fundraising campaigns

    - Experience working with African or Sahel-focused initiatives.
