    Description

    Power Platform Consultant

    As a Power Platform Consultant, you are a Solution Specialist with deep expertise in Power BI and its integration within the Power Platform ecosystem, including Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365. You are passionate about transforming nonprofit organizations through data-driven insights, leveraging Power BI to solve complex business challenges. You also bring strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 CRM Apps (Sales, Marketing) and relevant third-party ISV solutions for the nonprofit sector.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the design and development of Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models tailored to nonprofit clients.
    • Contribute across all phases of Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit projects (Initiate, Implement, Prepare, Operate).
    • Translate business requirements into actionable Power BI solutions using Power Query, DAX, and data visualization best practices.
    • Integrate Power BI with Dataverse, Dynamics 365, and other Microsoft Cloud components.
    • Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
    • Present insights and recommendations to clients using compelling Power BI visualizations.
    • Map legacy data to the Nonprofit Common Data Model and solution-specific schemas.
    • Work independently with autonomy in decision-making and solution design.

    Requirements

    Technical Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, including:
      • Building interactive dashboards and paginated reports
      • Data modeling and transformation using Power Query and DAX
      • Publishing and managing datasets in Power BI Service
    • Experience with Power Platform tools including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
    • Configuration and customization of Dynamics 365 CRM.

    Nonprofit Knowledge

    • Understanding of nonprofit business processes and data needs.
    • Experience working with nonprofit clients or within nonprofit organizations.

    Consulting Skills

    • Strong time management and multitasking across complex projects.
    • Ability to lead workshops and facilitate client decision-making.
    • Skilled in creating system design documents, ERDs, and training materials.
    • Committed to delivering high-quality, client-centered solutions.

    Communication Skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and vendors.
    • Clear and timely communication of project status and escalations.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or other Power Platform certifications.
    • Experience with nonprofit data models and reporting requirements.
    • Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel) is a plus.
