    Description

    About 100 Degrees Consulting:

At 100 Degrees Consulting, we help nonprofit organizations analyze, translate, and transform financial information and processes to more effectively utilize limited resources and make a more powerful impact on the people and communities they serve.

We show up for our clients and partners with deep expertise, genuine care for mission-driven work, and a dependable, approachable style that builds lasting trust. Our values of excellence, kindness, curiosity, and grit guide everything we do.

    Job Summary:

We are seeking a deeply relationship-oriented Sales Manager to drive new client acquisition and institutional partnerships across 100 Degrees Consulting. This role blends business development, partnership strategy, and hands-on outreach, with a strong emphasis on mission alignment and revenue growth.

This role owns a defined new revenue target and is directly accountable for generating and retaining revenue. Performance is measured primarily by revenue outcomes and client fit, supported by healthy pipeline development and thoughtful outreach activity.

The Sales Manager will design and execute a proactive lead generation and partnership strategy, engage in consultative conversations with nonprofit leaders, and collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure thoughtful handoffs and long-term client success.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in fundraising, institutional partnerships, or consultative service sales who sees sales as relationship building, not persuasion.

    Core Focus Areas:

    • Generate new annualized revenue through strategic partnerships and client relationships
    • Build and manage a qualified pipeline that supports predictable revenue growth
    • Identify nonprofit organizations and federated groups that are strong candidates for ongoing financial strategy or bookkeeping services
    • Conduct thoughtful discovery conversations to understand organizational needs and position the appropriate service tier
    • Warm and hand off qualified opportunities to the Director of Client Services for proposal development and onboarding
    • Maintain accurate tracking of pipeline, revenue forecasts, and outcomes using Monday.com and Ignition

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Own and achieve an agreed-upon annual new revenue target
    • Design and execute a proactive lead generation and outreach strategy, primarily through outbound and relationship-based efforts
    • Build genuine relationships through email, phone, virtual meetings, and selective in-person opportunities
    • Guide prospective partners from first conversation through signed agreement in a collaborative, consultative manner
    • Collaborate closely with Client Services, Operations, and Leadership to ensure aligned messaging and smooth transitions
    • Track and report on revenue progress, pipeline value, conversion rates, and market insights

    Ideal Candidate:

You will excel in this role if you:

    • Have 5+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or business development, ideally selling services to mission-driven organizations
    • Are a natural relationship builder who earns trust quickly by listening deeply and asking thoughtful questions
    • Are skilled at translating impact and value into clear financial decisions
    • Have experience closing service-based or partnership agreements with nonprofits, foundations, or institutions
    • Prefer long-term partnerships over quick wins and understand that sustainable revenue comes from trust and retention
    • Are comfortable owning revenue outcomes and building systems from the ground up
    • Thrive in a flexible, high-trust environment and can take calls during standard business hours
    • Enjoy both strategy and execution and are willing to design the approach and do the outreach

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
    • Repeated and coordinated use of your hands, wrists, and fingers to use and type on a computer keyboard, requiring the use of fine motor skills
    • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

    Compensation:

    • Hourly base rate: $60-70 per hour for up to 25 hours per week
    • Commission Structure:
      • 5% of first-year client revenue, to be paid after the client has been active and paying for 3 months.
      • PLUS an additional 2% of the first-year revenue, to be paid only if the client is still active at 12 months.
      • Example: $2,500/month client = $30,000 annual value. Commission: $1,500, paid after 3 months PLUS retention bonus: $600, paid at 12 months
    • Contract type: 1099 contractor

Success in the First 6 Months:

    • Build and implement a clear, relationship-driven outreach and lead generation system
    • Develop and maintain a qualified pipeline that supports sustained revenue growth within onboarding capacity
    • Close well-fit client or partnership agreements representing meaningful progress toward the monthly recurring revenue goal, with revenue beginning to materialize as relationships mature
    • Maintain 90% or higher client retention at 90 days by prioritizing strong client fit and thoughtful partnership selection in collaboration with Client Services
    • Provide clear and accurate pipeline and revenue reporting, including insights on deal timing and market feedback

    Reporting & Collaboration:

    • Reports directly to the Director of Client Services
    • Works closely with Operations and Marketing to support growth initiatives
    • Collaborates with leadership on revenue strategy, market insights, and partnership opportunities

    Growth Potential

    • As revenue grows and onboarding capacity expands, this role has the potential to increase in scope, hours, and strategic responsibility.

    Interview Process:

    • 30-minute screening interview with HR
    • Brief Assessment
    • 30-minute panel interview with Director of Client Services and Director of Operations
    • Reference Checks
    • 30-minute interview with CEO
    • Background check
