About the Role
As a Copywriter, you’ll create content that helps nonprofits connect with their audiences in authentic, human ways. Your work will support fundraising, advocacy, recruitment, and engagement efforts—translating missions, programs, and impact into stories that inspire support.
We are especially interested in writers who are exceptional in one or both of these areas:
- Long-form content (blogs, articles, e-books, case studies, reports), or
- Short-form and conversion-focused copy (emails, fundraising appeals, landing pages, petitions, digital ads)

iMission is a strategic, digital-first marketing and technology agency working exclusively with nonprofit organizations and K-12 schools. We partner with organizations doing meaningful work—helping them raise more money, reach more people, and operate more effectively through strong strategy and clear storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Research and write compelling nonprofit content grounded in storytelling and impact
- Translate complex ideas, programs, or data into clear, engaging narratives
- Write with intention - motivating readers to donate, sign up, attend, advocate, or learn more
- Apply SEO best practices where appropriate
- Collaborate with strategists, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality content
- Manage multiple assignments and deadlines across clients and formats
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional writing or copywriting experience
- Strong understanding of storytelling, audience-first messaging, and persuasive writing
- Experience with nonprofit fundraising, advocacy, or mission-driven marketing strongly preferred
- Comfort performing research to support content development
- Excellent editing, proofreading, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment
- Bachelor’s degree required
- WordPress experience preferred
