    What You’ll Do

    • Utilize the North Carolina Family Assessment Scale for General Services (NCFAS-G+R) and a Wrap Around Model approach to assess family functioning, identify strengths and needs, explore risk and safety concerns, and inform delivery service.
    • Provide reunification services using a staged model, including parent/child assessment, preparation before reunification, intensive post-reunification work, and ongoing support to monitor family progress.
    • Conduct weekly visits with parents and children, implementing a Visit Coaching Model and Therapeutic Family Time (TFT) to strengthen parenting skills, improve parent/child interactions, and promote attachments.
    • Maintain regular communication with DCF, including weekly verbal and written updates, attending RFTF case reviews, and participating in other required DCF meetings.
    • Participate in scheduled supervision and bi-monthly Family Support team meetings to discuss cases and coordinate services.
    • Complete and maintain electronic client records, ensuring timely documentation and strict adherence to client confidentiality guidelines.
    • Assist the Family Support Manager and Program Director in outreach efforts, including presentations to referral sources.
    • Provide transportation for families as needed and maintain availability for on-call 24-hour/day crisis response according to the rotation schedule.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a closely related field and at least two years of experience working with children and families.
    • Must be aware of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients served
    • Must have experience working with diverse populations and a willingness to provide home-based supports.
    • Demonstrate maturity, professionalism and self-awareness, a non-judgmental attitude, the ability to deal with resistance and rejection, cultural competency, and the ability to work independently and under challenging conditions)
