    Description

    Position Overview

    As the Technology and Project Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the systems, tools, and resources that help the League serve its members every day. You’ll work closely with a small, collaborative team to advance projects, maintain core technology, and support the data and systems that keep the League running smoothly.

    This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, likes solving problems, and wants to be part of a mission-driven environment where your work truly matters to Wisconsin municipalities.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Project & Resource Support ~30%
      • Support the development and delivery of member resources, toolkits, and educational materials.
      • Assist with planning and coordinating virtual and in-person events.
      • Help keep core member resources updated, organized, and accessible.
      • Engage in process improvement activities that reduce administrative burden.
    2. Member Information System (Database) & Website Support ~ 40%
      • Maintain data quality and updates in the League’s iMIS member system, including audits, election contact updates, and support tickets with integration and software vendors.
      • Implement integration between platforms- iMIS, Learning Management System, Website, Financial system, etc.
      • Help safeguard member and organizational data and assist with file storage and compliance needs.
      • Assist with routine updates, content edits, and improvements to the League’s website.
    3. Technology & Systems Coordination ~ 15%
      • Participate in the development of and implementation of the League’s technology roadmap
      • Serve as an internal point of contact for everyday software, hardware, and connectivity questions from staff.
      • Support office, conference room, and VoIP technology and coordinate with IT Managed Service Provider (JAVIS) when specialized support is needed.
      • Provide basic troubleshooting, triage issues, and escalate when appropriate.
    4. Member & Event Engagement ~ 15%
      • Support communications, conferences, and outreach efforts in partnership with League staff.
      • Assist with registration, logistics, and preparation of materials for member events.
      • Provide general support to the League’s administrative team to ensure a smooth member experience.

    Benefits

    The salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience, with an anticipated starting range of $82,000-$95,000 annually. A comprehensive and competitive benefits package is included, featuring participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) pension program and the Employee Trust Fund (ETF) health plan.
