About Us

Baltimore City Public Schools (City Schools) is among the country’s largest urban school districts with nearly 85,000 students, 188 programs and schools and a budget of $1.3 billion. Led by Chief Executive Officer Gregory Thornton, City Schools is committed to creating an entire system of excellent schools.

City Schools’ Office of Achievement and Accountability (OAA) plays a critical role in supporting schools and holding them accountable for student results. It helps schools to engage in data-driven decision-making through the use of data collection, analysis and dissemination and, in turn, to optimize academic outcomes for their students.
