    About Us

    The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Senior Volunteer Program is for citizens 50 years and older who want to serve their community by promoting safety and service programs (in crime prevention) and valuable assistance to the public at the patrol stations. The Senior Volunteer Patrol is staffed by citizens who are asked to volunteer a minimum of six hours a week. Duties range from traffic control, patrolling neighborhoods and shopping centers, performing vacation checks and checking on the welfare of elderly or disabled persons
