    Description

    The Choice is seeking an experienced temporary Donor Communications & Stewardship Specialist for our client, a prominent, global conservation organization. This person will play a role in designing, implementing and executing donor communications to advance a culture of philanthropy.

    This a temporary position to provide parental leave coverage. We are seeking candidates who can fully commit to a contract position.

    Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
      • 5+ years of communications, fundraising, and/or donor relations experience preferably with a non-profit.
      • Commitment to environmental conservation
      • Exceptional customer service and project management skills
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including writing and copyediting
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality
      • Must be DMV-area based.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Lead the production of print and digital donor products and oversee mailing/ distribution of communication materials.
      • Assist with content creation, including conceptualizing and writing content for regular email updates to donors, emails to internal clients, talking points for events, web stories, and more.
      • Collaborate on special stewardship and recognition projects, including assisting in content development, image selection, project management, and communication and coordination with giving teams.
      • Update and draft new web content, including donor features and conservation impact stories, and manage complex review and approval process with internal and external partners for that content.
      • Collaborate on writing projects, providing strategic input and copyediting for reports, proposals, acknowledgement letters, and other communications as needed.
      • Execute stewardship products for high-level donors, collaborating with gift officers to create custom projects such as photobooks.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid: 2 days in-office)

    Salary: $34-36 hour
