EduCARE India is currently recruiting Interns in the field of Disaster Management and Emergency Planning (DMEP) to undertake a 3+ month voluntary Internship located in rural North India as a Project Manager. Our DMEP Programme was established in 2015 and is continually being developed; our current areas include: Community Disaster Risk Reduction, Emergency Planning / Preparedness, Hazard Mapping and Scenario Modelling, Landslide/Earthquake and Flooding Mitigation. These suggestions are not extensive and new project ideas are positively welcomed and encouraged from our Interns. Fundamentally the aim of the DMEP programme is to ensure the communities we work with are aware and appropriately educated on the potential risks (natural and human) that may impact their lives; in order that they can be pre-prepared and respond effectively.
Job Role:
As a Project Manager you are responsible for your own sustainable development project within one of our centre locations, this role places you right in the centre of the community and experiencing first-hand grassroots level work.
