    About the Internship

    The Human Rights Foundation (HRF) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Wear Your Values (WYV) Intern. This is a unique opportunity to help a dynamic and high-achieving nonprofit team as it works to hold the fashion industry accountable for human rights abuses worldwide.

    This position reports directly to the program lead and will help carry out important research and work on social media and creative campaigns. The Wear Your Values Intern will work closely with the rest of the programs department and communications and creative teams.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Specific duties include, but may not be limited to:
    • Support advocacy efforts through social media, campaigns, and written products
    • Keeping up to date with recent events in the fashion industry
    • Identifying ethical brands and designers for potential partnerships and WYV mentorship program
    • Coordinate outreach with partners, supporters, and the general public to promote WYV and HRF’s mission
    • Drafting engagement letters with brands to offer our support in eliminating forced labor from their supply chains
    • Draft copy for communications and social media regarding fashion news, ethical designers, and various WYV projects
    • Work with various teams within HRF, including communications, legal and policy, and programs to ensure alignment and effectiveness in operations

    Qualifications

    • Current undergraduate or recent graduate in a fashion-related degree with an interest in human rights
    • Commitment to HRF’s mission
    • Experience with social media, campaigns, and event planning
    • Experience working with ethical designers and fashion brands
    • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
    • Creative mindset
    • Knowledge of fashion supply chains (preferred)
    • Knowledge of modern slavery laws is a plus
    • Must thrive in a fast-paced work environment and have a positive can-do attitude
    • Sense of humor required!

    Compensation

    $1,250/month for a part-time internship. We are looking to fill a part-time internship, but if you are a great fit and seeking a full-time internship, you will be considered.

    Timeframe

    March 1-June 1, 2026 (approximately 3 months).

    Location

    The Human Rights Foundation is based in New York City. This internship must be in person.
