    Description

    We’re seeking a motivated, fully-remote Marketing Specialist to support a variety of marketing initiatives across our marketing team. You’ll help bring campaigns to life, engage B2C and B2B audiences, and contribute to SkillUp’s goal of reaching 10 million individuals by 2030. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and learning by doing — from updating landing pages to creating content or supporting paid marketing campaigns. You’ll also work with senior team members to ideate, execute, and measure efforts that drive awareness, engagement, and retention across all channels.

Through its cutting-edge technology platform and step-by-step career guidance options, SkillUp has connected STARs with career, training, and job support nationwide. The coalition brings together more than 150 leading organizations, including training and education providers, technology developers, policymakers, employers, and philanthropies.     Description

    Key Responsibilities

    General Team Support

    • Provide flexible support for all marketing initiatives as needed, including ad hoc campaigns, partner requests, creative projects and cross-departmental collaborations.
    • Assist with troubleshooting, QA, and ensuring the timely delivery of marketing materials across channels.
    • Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for process improvements and support overall marketing goals.

    Creative & Multimedia

    • Design branded visuals, infographics and video assets for campaigns, social media, email, partner and paid campaigns.
    • Ensure brand consistency and provide creative input for partner or vendor assets as needed.

    Website & Product Support

    • Maintain and update SkillUp.org and the explore.skillup.org product site to reflect programs, campaigns, and partnerships.
    • Build and QA landing pages, support UX improvements, and monitor analytics to optimize engagement and conversions.

    Social Media & Community Engagement

    • Own SkillUp’s B2C social channels, creating posts that reflect brand voice and amplify partner visibility.
    • Repurpose content across formats, monitor engagement, and refine strategy based on analytics.
    • Experiment with short-form video and multimedia to enhance storytelling and engagement.
    • Plan and support webinars, coaching sessions, and partner events, including promotion and post-event follow-up.

    Content, Blog & Communications

    • Assist in content development, including newsletters, blogs, in-product resources, etc.
    • Optimize blog content aligned with campaigns, career pathways, and SEO/GEO priorities.
    • Amplify the content calendar and highlight success stories and partner impact.
    • Track content performance through GA4 and HubSpot to inform the communications team for future strategy.

    Qualifications

    • No degree requirements.
    • You have 1–3 years of experience in marketing or a related field.
    • You have a proven record of multitasking, taking initiative and managing competing priorities.
    • You’re willing to take direction and learn new platforms and tools.
    • You’re comfortable collaborating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
    • You bring experience creating designs in tools like Canva, Adobe, Hubspot or similar platforms.
    • You’re familiar with various social media platforms and have an understanding of how audiences engage differently across them.
    • You have experience with Google Suite, Slack, and Zoom and are comfortable in remote working environments.
    • You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • You bring a passion for workforce development and mission-driven nonprofit work.

    Compensation & Benefits

    Target salary for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience, geography and Internal equity.
