This role holds primary responsibility and decision-making authority for the quality, coherence, and rigor of MERIT’s STEM and health leadership programming. We are seeking a community-centered STEM, health, and youth-development professional to direct and advance the strategic future direction of a recognized and respected health leadership program. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right-fit candidate who demonstrates impactful leadership and management; effectiveness in achieving quality youth and community outcomes; strong relationship-building skills; and ability to problem-solve and inspire others with aplomb.
This opportunity will begin shortly after a final candidate is selected, and will report initially to MERIT’s interim executive director. The Associate Director will manage and support a small team of full-time staff, part-time instructors, and alumni workers.
The Associate Director, Health Leadership provides strategic and operational leadership for MERIT’s STEM-based health leadership programming. This role oversees curriculum development, program design, implementation, as well as evaluation and continuous improvement across Saturday programming, summer experiences, and scholar support systems.
The Associate Director of STEM & Health Leadership supervises a small team; builds and sustains partnerships with schools, healthcare institutions, and community organizations; ensures alignment with funding and compliance requirements; and plays a key role in MERIT’s programmatic success.
