Bleeding Disorders Alliance Illinois is seeking an experienced Program and Outreach Manager responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing programs that align with the organization’s mission, while also managing outreach efforts to engage the community. Key responsibilities include program planning and management, community needs assessment, developing and leading outreach strategies.

Core Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program & Outreach Manager will be responsible for activities focused on education, communication, and outreach including:
Program Management
- Develop, plan, implement and evaluate existing outreach and education programs. This will include scheduling and planning programs and events; developing content with BDAI executive director, team members and partners; and overseeing program logistics.
- Conduct surveys/solicit feedback to identify community needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Track impact of programs and program objectives and goals. Grow program participation and event attendance; increase geographic program reach.
- Ensure programs meet budget expectations and all necessary compliance and regulations.
- Maintain and grow professional partnerships with hospitals, treatment centers, organizations, industry and pharmaceutical sponsors, and community stakeholders.
Outreach and Communications
- Develop and execute marketing materials to promote programs and BDAI’s mission.
- Spearhead outreach activities, utilizing both online and in-person strategies to attract participants and build community engagement.
- Assist in maintaining an active, engaging social media presence.
- Assist in the creation of regular e-newsletters and quarterly newsletters.
- Track and improve engagement metrics (i.e., email open rates, social media follows and likes)
- Perform regular website updates
Qualifications & Skills
- Candidates must possess the following qualifications to be considered for this vital role:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or in place of a degree, 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Professional experience with program management and administration with a track record of excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage projects. The successful candidate will be someone who leads from the front who doesn’t wait for the roadmap but helps draw it.
- Communication Skills: Highly professional demeanor and strong communication skills (written and verbal) for effective partnership building and public representation. Experience managing social media and email communication platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder relations skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as database management such as Bloomerang.
Work Environment
- This is a year-round, full-time, salaried position that will work closely with the Executive Director to achieve our mission.
- This is a fully, remote position open to candidates living in Illinois with the expectation of regular communication, scheduled weekly check-ins, and written monthly reports.
- Collaborative, mission-driven team environment.
- Ability to travel throughout the state of Illinois for meetings and programs. When travel is required, candidate must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to travel independently on behalf of BDAI. Limited, occasional travel nationally as needed for trainings or conferences.
