    Employees are paid bi-weekly through ADP. Approved event travel expenses (mileage; bus, train, or air tickets; hotel stays; rideshares; etc.) are paid by GLAD Law and pre-approved per diem is provided for meals and incidental costs.

    Description

    The Data & Research Assistant will support GLAD Law’s fundraising and donor engagement efforts by maintaining accurate data systems, conducting donor and prospect research, and producing reports that inform development strategy. This role will ensure timely data entry, gift processing support, and prospect tracking that aligns with GLAD Law’s mission and values.

    There will be a requirement for some in-person work at GLAD Law’s Boston office and attendance at campaign-related events.

    Responsibilities:

    Data Entry & Reporting

    • Maintain accurate donor and prospect records in Salesforce.
    • Enter notes, update pipeline stages, and track donor engagement activity.
    • Build and maintain development reports to inform fundraising strategy.

    Gift Processing & Stewardship

    • Support gift entry, pledge form management, and acknowledgment processes.
    • Assist with data entry and guest tracking for campaign events.
    • Monitor and flag significant incoming transactions (ACH, EFT, and checks) for review.

    Prospect Research

    • Conduct research on individual prospects, family foundations, and donor advised funds.
    • Provide logistical and research support for campaign-related activities as assigned.
    • Assist with maintaining secure, shareable versions of donor and prospect lists.

    Qualifications:

    Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM (e.g., Raiser’s Edge).
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    • Familiarity with fundraising operations and gift processing is a plus.

    Education:

    • An associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus but not required.
    • Relevant experience and transferable skills are valued.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a desk or computer.
    • Capability to use standard office equipment, such as a computer, keyboard, mouse, and phone.
    • Ability to travel occasionally to the office and events.

    Compensation

    • The salary range for this part-time position is $22,700 - $30,250.
