    Description

    We are seeking a contractor grant writer to support our grant-seeking efforts including the following:

    • Researching and evaluating and evaluate corporate, community, and private foundation
    • grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission.
    • Developing a comprehensive list of funding opportunities and building a pipeline of grants,
    • including funders focused on gender justice, violence prevention, and general operating
    • support.
    • Creating and managing a grants calendar and work plan by creating timelines, tracking key
    • deadlines and deliverables to ensure complete and timely submissions.
    • Drafting compelling grant narratives and proposals that accurately describe the
    • organization’s work and align with the funder's priorities, expectations and grant
    • requirements.
    • Serving as project manager to coordinate the collection of application materials, project
    • metrics, and milestones for all agreed-upon grants.
    • Collaborating with the organization’s point of contact to review narrative drafts and revise
    • proposals and reports in alignment with funder requirements and submission standards.
    • Creating a grant narrative repository including organizational standard narrative templates,
    • program summaries, and one-pagers.
    • Serving as a grant strategist, providing expertise in the gender and racial justice movement
    • funding landscape and staying informed on emerging issues in this evolving political
    • climate.
    • Supporting funder cultivation and outreach, including reviewing funder outreach materials,
    • talking points, and pitch briefings.
    • Providing coaching on funder cultivation strategies, content framing, and pitching for
    • philanthropic positioning.
    • Guiding staff to integrate light fundraising responsibilities, spreading ownership across the
    • team.
    • Facilitating bi-weekly consulting sessions, offering expert guidance to boost funding
    • outcomes, and reviewing the grant writing plan to ensure alignment with the organization’s
    • evolving priorities.
