    Role Overview:

    The Outreach, Recruitment, and Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for developing and executing regional outreach, recruitment, admissions coordination, and partnership strategies that drive enrollment and strengthen community awareness of TKH programs. The role focuses on cultivating relationships with local partners across assigned regions, coordinating recruitment pipelines, and advancing applicant engagement from inquiry through enrollment. This position also tracks and reports regional KPIs and collaborates closely with the national programs team to maintain consistency in approach while working with their direct manager to tailor strategies that address unique regional needs.

    Outreach & Lead Generation (40%)

    • Facilitate consistent community outreach efforts that build strong pipelines across assigned regions which may include community events, career fairs, student network convenings, and local tech events.
    • Attend events and stay up to date on current events and trends to engage in the local community and tech ecosystem
    • Assist the Regional Leaders in recruiting volunteers and supporters in partnership with the external affairs team.
    • Assist with planning and promoting TKH events and workshops to students, alumni and the local community, especially in person
    • Implement a partner outreach strategy to share TKH’s application with as many jobseekers as possible and identify long-term partners in local region.
    • Lead regional recruitment info sessions and presentations for prospective applicants.
    • Develop referral systems with workforce agencies and community-based organizations that increase qualified applicant leads.
    • Coordinate and manage outreach calendars aligned with regional goals and programming cycles.
    • Promote digital literacy and career exploration activities that elevate interest in TKH programs.

    Community Partnership Development (30%)

    • Build partnerships with schools, workforce agencies, and CBOs across assigned regions to expand applicant referrals and wrap-around supports.
    • Represent TKH at regional community events, fairs, and convenings to increase awareness and strengthen partnerships.
    • Conduct research to identify partner organizations that support student development, career readiness, and supportive services.
    • Facilitate volunteer engagement by cultivating industry and community partners that support student persistence and enrichment, including but not limited to Technical Empowerment Days.
    • Develop sustained partnership strategies that align with regional KPIs and recruitment objectives.

    Admissions Coordination (20%)

    • Coordinate regional admissions processes including application screening, interviews, assessments, and enrollment activities, ensuring 185 KKCF participants, 185 Innovation Fellows, and 230 TED participants are served.
    • Collaborate with regional and national program staff and alumni to support applicant communications and resolve inquiries.
    • Support enrollment yield by conducting follow up outreach and maintaining consistent touchpoints with applicants.
    • Align admissions processes with national standards while adapting strategies to regional landscape and goals.
    • Partner with the communications team to produce promotional materials and outreach assets.
    • Adapt admission materials for your region for fliers, slidedecks, and clarity for prospective learners and patterns.

    Administrative Support & Reporting (10%)

    • Maintain accurate applicant pipeline data within Salesforce or tracking documentation.
    • Track regional KPIs and produce dashboards and reports that inform recruitment strategy.
    • Collaborate with the national programs team to ensure consistent data collection and reporting.
    • Manage documentation of partner outreach and events for internal and external reporting.
    • Support the Program Manager in updating the program calendar, planning events, and promoting the organization.
    • Coordinate with the development team to prepare proposals, presentations, and reports as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of work experience ideally in a non-profit, education, or youth development environment
    • Proficient in Google Drive applications and other apps for work
    • Proficiency using Excel and Google Sheets
    • Analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Proactivity and self-starter
    • Calm under pressure, with strong follow through and ability to meet deadlines
    • Strong work ethic and commitment to produce high-quality work
    • Effective communication skills, including clear writing and professional email
    • Teamwork, including actively reaching out to colleagues to support or consult on projects and maintaining a collaborative work environment
    • Commitment to contributing to positive organizational culture and core values.
