    THIS OPPORTUNITY

    Washington State Opportunity Scholarship (WSOS) is seeking an experienced professional in alumni engagement and/or development to build and implement a robust, statewide alumni engagement strategy. This role is an exciting opportunity to create and build a program for 10,000 graduates (and counting). The Alumni Engagement Manager will be responsible for: (1) building community and fostering a growing network of professionals; (2) developing and implementing career support programming for alumni post-graduation; (3) increasing volunteer engagement opportunities to support programs like mentorship and career connections; (4) creating connections to alumni and identifying graduates to serve as speakers and ambassadors; and (5) expanding our donor base through financial support and introductions to corporate partners and other donors.

    The main WSOS office is in Seattle’s Mt. Baker neighborhood. Most staff work on a hybrid schedule, generally working from the WSOS office two days per week.

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

    • Build a strategic statewide program for 10,000+ WSOS alumni, which includes three scholarship programs (Career & Technical, Baccalaureate, and Graduate)
    • Develop and implement career support programming for alumni post-graduation, including access to career coaching, mentorship, and professional development resources
    • Work closely with the Advancement team on alumni giving campaigns as well as identifying corporate partners for cultivation as fundraising prospects
    • Work across teams to identify areas of collaboration (for example, storytelling with the Marketing team or speaking opportunities with the External Affairs team, etc.)
    • Help build systems to engage Scholars before graduation to encourage reporting back on their post-graduation outcomes
    • Other duties as assigned
