The Lane County Farmers Market is hiring an Executive Director!

We’re seeking a collaborative, visionary leader to guide our markets, programs, and partnerships into the future. The Executive Director connects the daily rhythms of market life with the broader goals of community impact, farmer sustainability, and long-term organizational growth.

This full-time position is based in downtown Eugene and offers a starting annual salary of $67,000–$71,000 DOE, plus benefits.

The ideal candidate brings experience in nonprofit or food systems management, strong communication and financial skills, and a passion for building equitable, thriving local food economies.

The Executive Director serves as the chief executive of LCFM, providing strategic and operational leadership across all areas of administration, market operations, staff, partnerships, and strategic direction. The Director ensures the smooth running of all markets and programs, cultivates partnerships, manages finances, and represents LCFM to the public, funders, and partners. This position balances hands-on administration with visionary leadership- connecting the daily rhythms of market life with the broader goals of community impact, vendor sustainability, and long-term organizational stability.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in nonprofit, community, or food systems management.
• Proven experience managing budgets, staff, and complex operational systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Skilled with Google Workspace, QuickBooks Online, and project management tools.
• Organized, self-directed, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities.
• Commitment to LCFM’s mission and values, including equity, transparency, and vendor‐centered decision‐making.
• Ability to work weekends/early hours as needed for markets or events; valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in farmers markets, local agriculture, or food access programs.
• Grant writing and reporting experience.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.
