    Position Overview

    The Campus Operations Director is an operational leader responsible for the day-to-day management of Gratz Commonspace in the College’s Bala Cynwyd campus. Working closely with the senior leadership team, the Campus Operations Director ensures that the campus operates smoothly, effectively manages operations staff, reflects the College’s mission and values, and delivers a consistently welcoming experience for community members, partners, and staff.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as a visible, welcoming, and mission-aligned on-site leader for Gratz Commonspace.
    • Manage campus-based Commonspace staff and oversee daily campus operations, including facilities, space usage, café/food service, and community rentals.
    • Manage vendor relationships and service providers related to facilities, hospitality, and campus operations.
    • Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and hospitality for programs, events, and rentals to ensure a high-quality participant experience.
    • Foster collaboration, accountability, and clear communication among staff and across Gratz College departments.
    • Partner with programming staff and other Gratz departments to support the smooth implementation of public programs, community events, and high-participation gatherings such as lectures, festivals, and commencements.
    • Work in partnership with the COO/Finance Office on campus budgets, revenue tracking, and operational expenses related to rentals, cafe operations, space usage, and programming
    • Support data collection, reporting, and evaluation related to campus usage and operational outcomes.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners, renters, and repeat users of the space.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
    • 7+ years of experience in operations, facilities management, community spaces, or related environments
    • Familiarity or experience working in or with a Jewish educational and cultural organization
    • Demonstrated experience supervising staff and managing complex logistics
    • Strong organizational and project management skills
    • Comfort working collaboratively within a senior leadership and shared decision-making structure
    • Experience in a mission-driven, nonprofit, or educational environment preferred
    • Ability to work occasional weekends or evenings
