    Description

    The Philanthropy Associate will support the operational and strategic functions of the Major Gifts team within the Philanthropy Division. This role involves providing project management, research, and other critical assistance to a highly collaborative team.

    The Philanthropy Associate works to support the creation of customized donor reports to ensure that donor engagement efforts are executed efficiently. The position also collaborates with a team of gift officers and volunteers to provide support with donor giving histories, as well as a wide variety of reporting, database management, and logistics.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist gift officers with Salesforce-based requests, including donor giving histories, engagement records, and updates to donor profiles.
    • Create complex, customized donor reports based on data from Salesforce
    • Assist with event planning for gift officer-related events, coordinating with team members and volunteers as needed.
    • Provide administrative support for the team, including scheduling meetings and hosting Zoom sessions.
    • Support cross-functional projects within the Philanthropy Division and assist with various strategic initiatives as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Required Knowledge, Education, Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree required; nonprofit development experience is preferred.
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or major gift support roles.
    • Experience with Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Zoom
    • Experience interacting with high level donors and leadership
    • Experience creating strategic collateral for donor stewardship
    • Experience in creating high-level, comprehensive reports
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and proofreading skills
    • Knowledge of best business and development industry practices

    Required Skills

    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
    • Proven ability to work effectively with volunteers, staff, and senior leadership to drive results and foster positive donor relations.
    • High level of discretion and experience handling confidential information.
    • Positive attitude and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
