    SUPERVISOR: Director of Finance and Administration

    STATUS: 40 Hours/Week, At will, Non-Exempt

    Overview:

    The Full-Time Staff Accountant / HR Specialist is responsible for a broad range of financial and human resources duties. This position requires skills in accounting, payroll, and benefits administration, with proficiency in QuickBooks Online.

    Essential Duties:

    Human Resource Management

    • Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all personnel
    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
    • Assist with payroll to ensure employees receive their paychecks on time
    • Onboard new employees by going through their benefits package, time tracking system and employee handbook
    • Manage employee benefits and compensation
    • Handle employee relations, performance management, and compliance issues
    • Prepare offer letters, employee contracts, and compensation packages

    Financial Management & Accounting

    • Assist the Director of Finance & Administration with bookkeeping and financial operations
    • Post bills and bill payment checks in QuickBooks Online
    • Post invoices and payments received in QuickBooks Online
    • Monitor Accounts Receivable Aging
    • Maintain and update W-9 forms for 1099 contractors
    • Prepare 1099 reports

    Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge Requirements

    Demonstrate relevant training and experience with the following knowledge, abilities, and skills:

    • Proficient in QuickBooks Online for Non-Profit
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Three or more years of Federal and State grant administration experience
    • Five or more years of bookkeeping experience
    • Prefer knowledge of non-profit and grants management
    • Understand accrual accounting
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and collaboration
    • Ability to work flexible hours
    • Bilingual is a plus
