Our Mission: Brighter Boston guides young adults to discover meaningful work and personal success through life changing professional internships in the event production industry.
Who we are
Brighter Boston is a nonprofit workforce development organization bridging the gap between
education and real-world careers in live entertainment. We provide hands-on technical training,
paid internships, and holistic career support to young adults historically excluded from the arts
ages 16-25. Our participants gain in-demand skills in lighting, audio, video, and set construction
while building networks that connect them directly with professionals and employers in the industry.
Our employer partners include: Broadway in Boston, The Huntington Theatre Company, The ICA,
4Wall Entertainment, The A.R.T. and Live Nation to name a few.
Our Culture
We believe talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. That’s why we champion learning by
doing, mentorship from working professionals, and setting bold goals for the young people in our
programs - because they’re capable of meeting them. Our team embraces diversity, equity,
inclusion, and a shared belief in the power of the arts to build community and change lives.
Brighter Boston is a coalition of young people, production companies, and events professionals
working to open the doors of Boston’s entertainment industry to the next generation of artists.
