Overview
The Snohomish County Transportation Coalition (Snotrac) seeks an energetic, bilingual go-getter who is passionate to improve the lives of priority populations and to improve the transportation system.
Snotrac is a nonprofit organization that advocates for improvement in transportation service and solutions. Snotrac is especially focused on closing mobility gaps for priority populations, including people with disabilities, older age, youth, and low incomes, as well as people of color, tribal members, and immigrants. We conduct our work through community engagement, public education, coordination of resources, strategic partnerships, and mobility navigation and travel training.
This position will (1) lead the development and management of a new mobility navigation (travel training) program and (2) assist the executive director in communications, government relations, and partnership development for the organization. This position will not have a discrete list of tasks that the position will accomplish; rather, this position will be viewed as a partner with the executive director in achieving the mission of the organization.
The Mobility Navigation Program will be a new program of Snotrac that will provide travel training workshops and educational opportunities to priority populations, including immigrants and people with disabilities, older age, youth, and low incomes, on how to use the variety of transportation services in Snohomish County. In addition to leading workshops and trainings themself, the person in this position will also hire and manage a team of contracted Mobility Navigators who will provide most of the trainings and other educational opportunities. A leadership ladder will be created and developed for trainees to become advocates in support of local walking, biking, and transit projects.
As a partner with the executive director in public affairs, this position will maintain positive relationships with many partners across the county, lead media efforts, be responsible of social media posts and newsletters, and conduct additional community outreach.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Hybrid: weekly in-person check-in meeting at Everett office; frequent in-person activities throughout community; and work from home as schedule allows.
Equipment: MS Surface tablet will be provided with necessary software. Personal cell phone use will be compensated.
