NPH transforms the lives of vulnerable children in Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Peru. Together, we help children overcome poverty and become productive, caring leaders in their own communities. Foundedin 1954 by Father William Wasson, NPH supports nearly 8,000 children, both inside and outside our homes, ensuring they have a safe and nurturing place to live, an education, clothing, healthcare, and a strong family support system. In addition, NPH’sSt. Damien Pediatric Hospital in Haitiis the only pediatric medical facility in the entire nation of 11.5 million people, employing more than 500 Haitians and serving thousands of children and expectant mothers each year.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Correspondence Coordinator plays a strategic role in advancing donor engagement and retention within NPH USA’s Child Sponsorship and Recurring Giving programs. This position leads the execution and continuous improvement of donor communication and correspondence systems, ensuring timely, accurate, and meaningful interactions that strengthen donor relationships. By managing key operational processes and collaborating across internal teams and international partners, the coordinator helps deliver a consistent, high-quality donor experience that supports long-term program sustainability and impact.

    PRIORITIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Donor communication systems and information optimization

    • Lead the management of donor records, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency within Salesforce.
    • Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of sponsor profile, enabling personalized and effective engagement.
    • Monitor and maintain the OneFamily Program database, executing timely Child Wellness Report mailings and supporting initiatives that enhance donor retention and deepen monthly supporter engagement.
    • Support communication efforts that reinforce donor retention and deepen relationships with monthly supporters.

    Child sponsorship correspondence program coordination

    • Direct the child sponsorship correspondence program, including digitization, translation, and preparing outbound packages to NPH homes.
    • Monitor discrepancies in correspondence statuses and dates and continuously improving operational accuracy.
    • Support enhancements to the electronic correspondence system, streamlining communication between internal and external stakeholders
    • Follow and continuously improve processes for seasonal and high-volume mailings, ensuring timely and meaningful sponsor-child interactions.

    Donor experience and relationship management

    • Deliver support to sponsors and recurring donors through phone, email, and correspondence
    • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality donor experiences across all touchpoints
    • Respond to sponsor inquiries with empathy and accuracy, helping donors feel informed, valued, and connected to the mission
    • Support shared donor service responsibilities, including periodic coverage of the national office’s 1-800 phone line

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • College degree or equivalent training
    • Fluency in Spanish required, fluency in French preferred
    • Strong communication skills with previous customer service experience
    • Detailed-oriented with excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and multi-task to thoroughly complete concurrent projects
    • Experience working with Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe PDF
    • Ability to learn new systems required, experience with Salesforce.com preferred
