Flying Cloud Institute (FCI) seeks a dedicated and inspiring educator to lead after school Girls Science Clubs and Summer programs, working with and leading a team of educators around the county. FCI is a dynamic, small nonprofit committed to inspiring the natural curiosity of children through real world science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) investigations that inspire creativity.
The Young Women in Science Coordinator plans and delivers weekly after school Girls Science Clubs, an annual STEM Summer Intensive, and year-round Youth Mentorship programs as well as supervising and supporting a team of after school Club Leaders. Depending on availability and candidates’ preferences, the Coordinator position can be a part time or full time role. You will need to provide your own transportation to program sites around the county. This position will work in partnership with local school districts, artists, teachers, STEM professionals, and nonprofit organizations to deliver meaningful experiences to youth. Most duties occur on weekdays with very occasional weekend or evening programs.

Eligible staff may elect to enroll in Tufts Health Direct Silver 2000 health insurance plan with FCI paying a minimum of 60% of the premium and covering the first $1,000 of the $2,000 Annual Deductible; FCI also offers a 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions through Mass CORE up to 4%. Employment also includes 10 paid holidays, 40 hours paid sick time, and up to 120 hours of paid vacation leave. Staff may be eligible for federal student loan repayment.
