    at She Leads Justice (SLJ) including annual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorship, grant writing, and fundraising events. The Development Director participates in the organization’s fiscal planning and identifies diverse funding sources and opportunities that embrace SLJ’s goals and cultivates and maintains relationships with individuals and funders. This position reports to the Executive Director.

    • Individual Giving: Lead SLJ’s individual donor solicitations and stewardship through

    direct mail, email appeals, and other methods to cultivate small gift donors; manage

    stewardship of individual donors including new donor welcome packets, timely thank you

    messages, and identification of engagement activities; expand SLJ’s monthly sustainer

    and planned giving program.

    • Development Operations: Maintain donor information, such as accurate record of

    donor interactions; process online/offline donations; manage SLJ online giving platform;

    create fundraising reports for organization leadership.

    • Major Donor Program: Support cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major

    donors by assisting the Executive Director, including following up on information

    requests, arranging one-on-one meetings, recording donor interactions, and helping to

    identify engagement activities for donors.

    • Events: Support SLJ fundraising (virtual and in-person) events, including assisting with

    logistics and production tasks for events, producing event communications and

    collateral, and tracking event RSVPs; in coordination with Executive Director and Board

    Members, identify and solicit event sponsors. Recruit, train, and support key volunteers

    to assist in advancement efforts.

    • Institutional Funding: Manage foundation, government, and corporate partners;

    manage grant calendar for new and renewal applications; conduct research on

    institutional prospects; work with staff to thoughtfully describe SLJ’s programmatic goals

    and plans, identify opportunities to expand and elevate SLJ’s work and role as a

    statewide leader for women’s economic security; work with staff on submission of

    proposals and reports.

    • Communications: Coordinate with organization leadership on the overall

    vision and strategy for donor communications, such as social media posts, donor emails

    and newsletters, website, and annual reports to increase donor revenue and loyalty.
