Description:
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) is a USDA program that provides a monthly package of healthy groceries and complementary nutrition education to seniors at risk of hunger. CSFP currently operates in Washington, DC as Grocery Plus, in Suburban MD as My Groceries To Go and in Northern Virginia as CSFP. In DC, it is combined with another USDA program, the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP), which provides benefits to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at participating farmers markets. The Capital Area Food Bank is the executor of both programs for DC with oversight by DC Health.
The Senior Hunger Strategies Partnership Coordinator is responsible for coordinating Grocery Plus distributions from the mobile unit at locations throughout DC as specified by management. The goal of the mobile unit is to expand distribution of Grocery Plus to underserved gap areas. The Senior Hunger Strategies Partnership Coordinator is also responsible for promoting the mobile unit to the community and existing CSFP participants, enrolling qualifying seniors, and promoting other federal nutrition programs and other senior-centric programming. The position will ensure quality and consistency is maintained across all mobile distributions and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and policies.

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary for this position is $50,100 to $53,800. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable.
