The Better Future Project Communications Associate will lead communications that highlight and further the work BFP is doing to prepare communities to face the impacts of climate change and strive for justice. This position will interact with each of our programs: CREW (Communities Responding to Extreme Weather), 350 Mass, and Make Polluters Pay. Strong candidates will have a passion for documenting and relaying the stories of justice movements; experience with writing and social media; excellent time management skills; and be able to balance multiple priorities.
Employment Information:
Hours: Full time, 32 hours a week (4 day work week)
Start: March 1, 2026
Location: Hybrid, including some in-person work in our Somerville office
Salary: $58k - $64k negotiable depending on experience

Better Future Project (BFP) works to build a diverse, powerful, and democratic grassroots movement that will drive society to address climate change and its devastating effects, advancing a fair and fast transition beyond coal, oil, and gas toward an economy powered by renewable energy that equitably benefits all people. We do this work through three core "projects" that blend grassroots organizing with legislative advocacy and community engagement: Communities Responding to Extreme Weather (CREW), Make Polluters Pay, and 350 Mass.

Better Future Project works with a wide range of populations including environmental justice communities; climate activists from high schools to senior living centers; and urban, suburban, and rural community leaders working for systemic change.
